a great christmas

we had a wonderful Christmas this year! we spent Christmas eve at my mothers, we had dinner and opened gifts. next we went to nick and stephs were we had our yearly Christmas party. we slept over and opened gifts. next was on to Wendi and Jan's house for breakfast and more gifts. after that we headed over to Tracy's house were i helped ken with her castle she got from Santa. at about five we got home and opened gifts at our house. it was a busy and wonderful day. thank you all for everything! we love you all!

two more days till christmas!!

any suggestions?

ok so marley is going though a phase where i will rock her to sleep and when i lay her down ten minutes later she wakes up in her crib, then i get up and repeat this. i did that from 10:30 to 3:00 last night. the child won't sleep in her crib. so i give in and have her sleep with me and she sleeps for hours in my bed with me. i would much rather have her sleep in her crib, but how do i get her to stay asleep? do i let her cry herself to sleep? she is only four weeks old, is that too young to start that? she did sleep alot the day before but this isn't the first night that she did this. i have tried the swing that worked one night but not last night. any suggestions??

this started out as a fake cry but they quickly turned into the real thing!! sorry marley but it is so cute! the begining is the best!

so marley has hip dysplasia and has to wear this brace for about two to three months. poor girl! she is slowly getting used to it. we have had some hard nights sense we got the brace, i feel like i have a real infant now.

my first two and a half weeks of life

things have been so wonderful! she has been a great sleeper! it is amazing how your life changes in such wonderful ways when you have a child. she hates getting baths, loves the dogs, they come up and lick her face and her eyes just get really big. she loves her dad. he just knows exatly how to calm her down. we are really sad to have chase go back to work he was so amazing at helping me out. my mom came to stay with me when chase went back to work and now she had to go back to work as well, and let me tell you i am sad to see her go too. it seems very quiet with only marley ozza ludo and me. i am really excited to go hang out with all the other stay at home moms like tracy and ash! yeah!!

we love our cousins

marley has wonderful cousins! kennedy is so loving and wants to hold her forever and never give her up. crew who is a little under two can't stop kissing her and petting her soft hair. we couldn't ask for better cousins. marley can't wait to meet her next cousin in feb!

ok so here is the story- tuesday i went to my appointment and i was still one cm. my doc stripped my membranes and sent me on my way home exspecting to see me wednesday night for my induction. i went to my work to pick up some stuff. i was cramping a bit but thought it was just the exam that was causing it. i went home, still continuing to cramp. as i was going to the bathroom my water broke but didn't really think it was becuase i was just a little bit of fluid so i ignored it. that was about 11:00. chase got home at 3:30 and i was in a lot of pain. i called my sister who told me to head up to the hospital just in case. we got there at about 5. they checked me and i was 2cm!! i was really happy! my blood pressure was high so they did some labs and by the time the results came back i was 4cm. they admited me, stared my epidural at 7 (which by the way saved my life because i was dying of pain at 4cm). by 11 i was 10cm. she was still wasn't low enough for me to start pushing so they let my contractions push her down for an hour and a half. by 12:30 i stared pushing, and by 1:07 she was out! it was amazing! she weighed 6lbs and 14 oz and was 20 inches. we went home on thursday. she has caught on to feeding really well! so far the nights have been really good ( knock on wood). thanks to everyone that came and visited! we love you all so much and appricate all the support!

They are at the hospital right now and doing GREAT! Lou did such an amazing job and Marley is a BEAUTY!!! She was born this morning at 1:07am and weighed 6lbs 14oz and is 20in and she is perfect.

I am already in love with sweet Marley May!!!

marley is very happy!

i went to my doctors appointment and i am only one plus dilated, and 80% effaced. we scheduled my induction on wednesday the 19th (hopefully she comes before that). so marley is really liking chilling inside me and has no intention of coming out. well that is about it. lets all hope i go into labor magically tomorrow on my due date!

38.5 weeks

so i went in for my appointment and i was dialted to one cm. she couldn't get a good read on the heart beat so, she sent me up to ob emergency to get a nonstress test done. marley is good but during the test i had about five consistant contractions. they told me to go home and rest and if my contractions continue to head back up to the hospital. i decided that i feel fine and am at work. it is closer to the hospital that home is so we will see. i am still having contractions but not really as consistant as they were. we will keep you all posted!

ortho halloween party

so we get a little crazy about halloween here at the ortho clinic at the u of u, we had a costume contest as well as a hallway decorating contest. we decided to combine the two and decotate the hall with our docs and skeletons, and us and them. we one first in the decorating contest and first in the costume contest! we were excited! here are a few of the pics of the hallway and us and them. i was dr. burks, jenn was dr, greis, monica was dr.tashjian, and sara was dr.powell!

38 weeks 2 to go!!

38 weeks down and 2 to go! i can't even beleive it myself that it is almost time to meet our baby girl! there isn't alot going on. i will have a contraction every once and awhile when i over do it, but that is about it. oh well we love chubby babies! i am still getting swollen ankle like you wouldn't beleive! chase loves to press them and mold them, it is pretty cool!

we had our annuel halloween party this saturday, and it was awesome! this year we were in charge, so it was at ashlee's house. we had alot of fun as usual. everyone looked so good! thanks for the good time everyone!!

33.3 weeks

my big belly at 33.3 weeks! i have hit 140 lbs! oh yeah! we are thinking she might weight about 8 lbs according to the ultrasounds. we are getting ready, marley's room is about done we still need a dresser but that is about it.

my wonderful shower

so my wonderful best friend her mother and my mother in law though me a shower on saturday. it was awesome! we tie dyed onsies ate tons of food. it was so great!
